Andrew’s main focus is on leadership and team development, helping people to work positively and effectively with each other.  He works in the public, private and voluntary sectors with clients including

•Atkins

•Business West

•Cardiff and Vale NHS Trust

•South Gloucestershire Council

•Welsh Cancer Trials Network

His approach centres on people in organisations, and he improves performance by encouraging the vision and clarity that they need to work at their highest level.  Through coaching, teaching and facilitation, Andrew’s clients find that they are better able to see the wood for the trees and more skilled in understanding themselves and their team.  They can then focus on the actions that will bring most benefit

Andrew is also a skilled organisation researcher, able to use a variety of techniques to help senior managers look at their organisation from a fresh perspective, or from the point of view of their staff.  This leads to better informed decisions and improved staff engagement

Andrew moved into consultancy after a career in NHS Management.  During this time he moved from hospital management into leadership development, and his final NHS role was as the acting chief executive of the Centre for Health Leadership

Andrew has an MSc in Leadership and Organisation in the Public Sector from the University of the West of England.  He also has a diploma in Health Management and is a member of the Institute of Health Management.  He has published in a number of journals including Health Service Journal, Health Management and Public Policy Review

Andrew is a skilled and experienced Myers Briggs user, and is also registered and qualified to use a number of other personality tests including the 16pf and Firo-B.

Andrew lives in Bristol and is married to Ruth, a Community Dance Leader.  They have two daughters.  Andrew is a trustee of 125, a Bristol based charity working with abused and disadvantaged women
